McFarlane Toys The Art of Spawn Black Knight
Acquired on 02.29.08

Never thought that I would buy an american-made toy until I saw this one at a nearby mall... It's pretty detailed...and complicated too. It requires great
skill to sculpt these types of toys... most of my toys were simple ones, no spikes, blah blah blah just plain simple. Their only points are being Moelicious
and those dynamic poses...anyway, it's not actually a good idea to compare both as they come from different countries, company and skills.

Used to be a big Spawn fan during high school when I saw the live-action movie and the animatied series. I had a Violator (the fat-ass clown,as a human form)
figure which is from the same maker once. Actually, it's my brother's... He bought it at a souvenir shop on a Hotel Resort.. that's weird...of all places, why
the hotel? I wonder...

Anyway, off to review...

This figure is approx 17-18cm tall... and pretty detailed too. Haven't seen this on a show. Just a sculptor's piece of art.

The helmet/mask/face is nice.. Dunno what's in the back...maybe a shield that doubles as radar?

So many spikes, etc. After looking at the base, it seems really eerie... I think it's like what Hell's ground/soil looks like.

I like how the skull and the chain were sculpted. Not to mention, the helmet and the shoulder guards which really attracts my attention.

The left hand's hole was kinda tight and small that's why I didn't force the handle to fit in as it would break the handle.

This part's really cool... the knee guard and boots... they're really detailed. It kinda reminds me of KR Kiva's knee guard/boots which ware not the same.

The sword's pretty sharp. and of course, detailed like the rest of the part of this figure.

A good buy for a 3+ year old toy... pretty detailed all in all. I was lucky to have found this one in the mall but at the same time, not... as I still have to save money
for an upcoming preorder from Wasabitoys which would arrive maybe next week...
